Cube 2 sticks of butter and blend 2 cups flour with this until crumbly. It's important that butter is chilled. If your butter is soft your dough will break apart.
Choose your pie filling.
Add cottage cheese to flour mixture. Should look like this.
Dough should look like this after cottage cheese has been blended. Dough didn't always pull away, just crape bowl if it doesn't.
Use the 3rd cup flour to roll out pies. Dust surface and roll out a tennis ball size of dough.
Add spoon full if filling.
Fold over and cut excess dough away.
Press with fork to seal edge and cut small slits in top to vent pie.
Deep fry at 350 or a healthier version. Bake at 350 for 30min or until golden brown. I like to brush with butter and sprinkle with sugar and bake. Yumm
